The Vivier des Cresses estate is a dream location covering 70,000 square metres, the perfect place for an enchanting stay at the heart of the Belgian Ardennes. In a quiet setting, with two lakes, an orchard, wooded paths and beautiful surroundings, you will spend unforgettable moments as a family, among friends or with colleagues. Discover this place of relaxation, the perfect spot to recharge your batteries, unique in the province of Luxembourg. ‘Cresses’ means rock in Walloon. Adjacent to the Vivier des Cresses estate lies an old quarry where in the past local people came to gather authentic stones to build their homes. The gîte, where you can ‘hear the silence’, can accommodate up to nine people. It is ideally situated: less than ten kilometres from Bastogne – city of remembrance – near Houffalize, La Roche-en-Ardenne, Saint-Hubert, Marche-en-Famenne, Rochefort (Caves of Han) and less than half an hour from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The estate covers 70,000 square metres and includes two lakes, each over 10,000 square metres, three small boats, an orchard with various varieties of fruit trees, a small wood with properly maintained paths, a raised observation hide, walks, a play area for children and more. It is a starting point for waymarked footpaths and lies less than seven kilometres from the RAVeL network of non-motorised paths for cyclists. Possibility of trekking with qualified guide. Fishing is possible in the lakes, with trout provided by the owner, from 15 kg. In season, from mid-June to late September, crayfish can be caught free of charge using nets lent by the owner and prepared for a meal. A nature guide will also be able to show you the wide range of flora and fauna on the estate (subject to reservation, with payment of a supplement). The holiday home is very spacious and includes a large living area (lounge and dining room), with an adjoining bar and large bay windows overlooking the lakes, table football, a kitchen, five bedrooms, three bathrooms and four toilets. When the weather is fine, enjoy days and evenings on two large terraces, one of which is partly covered, with a superb view of the lake and across the countryside, an outdoor lounge area to sip aperitifs and a large barbecue to savour grilled meat and fish around the outdoor table, all discreetly lit. At the end of the second lake, why not stop and rest around a glass table, admiring the beauty of your surroundings.
