Our region has a dense railway network that will take you close to your gîte or your guest room free of care. In some cases, your hosts will even be pleased to welcome you at the nearest railway station. There are train services to Brussels from all European destinations.
To travel by train in Wallonia, you will find all the information you needs about stations, timetables and prices on the SNCB (Belgian Railway) website or by calling 00 32 (0)2 528 28 28 (accessible from 7.00 am to 9.30 pm, seven days a week).
The high-speed TGV train offers direct return journeys to Brussels from around thirty French towns and cities (Lille, Arras, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, Charles de Gaulle airport, Marne-la-Vallée, Massy, Aix, Angoulême, Avignon, Valence, Poitiers, Nice, Montpellier, Marseille, Lyon and others). From Brussels, you can catch a connection to all stations in Wallonia.

Thalys is a high-speed train serving the cities of Charleroi, Liège, Mons, Namur and Brussels.
Travel times from Paris: Brussels 1h22 (25 daily trains, i.e. a departure every half an hour), Mons 1h15, Charleroi 1h45, Namur 2h20 and Liège 2h10.

You can also take the Eurostar to come to Belgium and to Wallonia. This train comes to Brussels Midi/Zuid station, from where you can catch a connection to all stations in Wallonia. Brussels is only a two-hour journey from London.

This high-speed train directly from Germany goes to the cities of Brussels and Liège in Belgium. From these cities, you can catch a connection to all the towns and cities of Wallonia. Travel times from Cologne: Liège 1 hour and Brussels 1h45. Travel times from Frankfurt: Liège 2h15 and Brussels 3 hours.

Belgium has three main airports, two of which are in Wallonia. Many airlines fly to Wallonia.
So you can choose to arrive at Brussels national airport or at one of the two regional airports (Charleroi and Liège) served by low-cost airlines (Ryanair, Wizz Air). From these airports you can take a train or a bus, or hire a car to reach your holiday destination quickly.
